About Blackwater Buccaneers
Ahoy, mateys! I’m Carol, Captain of the Blackwater Buccaneers, and the creator of Lumen PhotoVocab Game. What started as an MFA thesis project fueled by my passion for game-based learning and a desire to help my students has grown into something I’m thrilled to share with the world.
I began designing educational tabletop games in grad school for my own enjoyment, but after encouragement from my community, I set sail on a mission to bring those creations to life. Today, I’m proud to say Operation Publish Lumen has been a resounding success!
